In response to Buffalo Field Campaign’s successful Freedom of Information Act appeal, Yellowstone National Park recently released records and information the government sought to withhold from the public.

The disclosure includes 15 new records that were found after BFC’s successful appeal to the Solicitor’s Office in the Department of the Interior (Washington D.C.), that the park did not conduct a reasonably adequate search for responsive records.

BFC was also able to divulge information Yellowstone National Park blacked out, including what park biologists sent to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service for its’ 12-month endangered species review of Yellowstone’s imperiled buffalo herds.
